FAQs

What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching and Therapy help clients set goals, learn skills, and plan for future success. Both provide a safe, structured space that offers clients support and accountability. Differences arise in terms of educational and professional requirements.

Psychotherapists must possess an advanced degree and professional (clinical) license as they provide mental health diagnosis and treatment. Many Life/ Motivational Coaches receive extensive training and certifications. However, these aren’t required. Therapy is widely covered by medical insurance, while life coaching isn’t.

Whether choosing to work with a Coach or Therapist, finding a qualified professional and developing a positive rapport is essential.

Why Yoga?

Yoga helps cultivate the mind-body connection. A consistent yoga practice improves breath awareness, physical coordination, flexibility, sleep, and stress management. Yoga is highly adaptable and accessible to almost any ability level. Ongoing research continues to show yoga’s efficacy in healing trauma.

Are In-Person services available?

All services are currently offered virtually. However, in-person pop-up community groups and yoga classes occur throughout the year. Join our online community for priority access to in-person offerings.

Do you work with men?

While I specialize in women’s issues, liberation, and joyful autonomy, I work with adult men. I consider it a privilege to support my male clients, help them reach their goals, and find the healing they deserve.

Why don’t you work with _________ (Teens, Couples, Children etc)?

Each therapist has a scope of practice, priority population, and unique personality. I’m open and honest about my areas of expertise, professional passions, and current skills. I want to do the most good where I’m best suited.
